Do I need a fishing licence in BC?
Yes. For non-tidal (fresh) waters you need a BC freshwater fishing licence, issued by the Province of British Columbia. For tidal (salt) waters you need a federal tidal waters sport fishing licence, issued by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO); if you keep salmon, a salmon conservation stamp is also required. Some waters need extra licences or stamps. Buy licences online from the issuing authorities: Province of BC — fishing and DFO Pacific recreational fisheries.
Can I buy online?
Yes — add products to your cart and send an order request for free in-store pickup or shipping across Canada. Online payment is not connected yet, so please also call or e-mail us to confirm the order and arrange payment.
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is estimated by province: from $9.99 in BC. Orders over $199 (before tax) ship free to the provinces; territories are always charged. Usually 2–7 business days after dispatch.
Which taxes do you charge?
Prices are in Canadian dollars plus applicable taxes. Pickup and BC deliveries: 5% GST + 7% BC PST. Deliveries to HST provinces are charged HST; other provinces GST. The cart shows an estimate before checkout.
How does in-store pickup work?
Choose “In-store pickup” at checkout. We email when the order is ready (usually the same day for in-stock items) and hold it for 7 days. Bring your order number and photo ID.
Are you an authorized dealer for these brands?
Brand names are trademarks of their owners. Listing a brand does not imply authorized dealer status.
What is your return policy?
Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days — in store or by mail for online orders. Some items are final sale (cut line, bait, special orders). Full details are in the terms, shipping & returns policy.
Do I need barbless hooks?
Barbless hooks are required in many BC fisheries, including salmon fishing in tidal waters and many rivers. Rules vary by water — always check the current regulations. We can swap trebles for single barbless hooks.
How long does a reel service take?
Basic reel cleaning takes 1–2 days and a full reel service 3–5 business days. Line spooling takes 10–20 minutes (braid 15–30 minutes).
Got your licence?
Anglers in BC need a provincial freshwater fishing licence (issued by the Province of British Columbia) for non-tidal waters, and a federal tidal waters sport fishing licence (issued by Fisheries and Oceans Canada) for the ocean. A salmon conservation stamp may also apply. Buy licences from the issuing authorities.
