What's working:
Jigs and swimbaits along kelp edges are producing rockfish and the odd lingcod. Salmon effort is light — check current openings and rockfish conservation areas before you go.

Openings, closures, size limits and gear rules change through the season — sometimes with only a few days' notice. A fishing report is not a substitute for the official notices.
Anglers in BC need a provincial freshwater fishing licence (issued by the Province of British Columbia) for non-tidal waters, and a federal tidal waters sport fishing licence (issued by Fisheries and Oceans Canada) for the ocean. A salmon conservation stamp may also apply. Buy licences from the issuing authorities.
